Jimmy Fallon Gets a Sweet New Gig
Jimmy Fallon has just landed one of the best jobs in Hollywood, having been officially named as Conan O’Brien’s successor. The takeover will happen at some point next year, as Conan moves to take over the Tonight Show next year.

Fallon is a Saturday Night Live alum who will hopefully keep NBC the leader in late night ratings when the transition is made in 2009. As for Leno, NBC hopes to keep him around with another twilight job after he has filmed his final “Tonight” spot.
The kinks are still being ironed out on the whole nighttime switcheroo, but the future looks bright for most everyone involved – especially Fallon. He has been known in the past for his personable approach and ability to keep a crowd going. 2009 will truly be a year where his talents are tested.
