Fanning’s “Hounddog” Prepares for Summer Release
Dakota Fanning may only be 14 years old, but she knows all about taking career risks. More than a year after her controversial movie “Hounddog” premiered at Sundance Film Festival, the flick is finally being prepared for a major studio release this summer. 
While rumors flew violently about the film, accusing the actress of everything from not knowing what she was getting into, to whoring out her talents for an Oscar nod, young Fanning stuck by the independent film and is now bracing herself for a renewal of the fiery debate as the big screen release looms.
Was this film a smart career move for an actress ready to move into more mature film roles, or is it a professional suicide for a thespian who has built her kingdom on relatively family friendly fare?
